I am working on a few of my last posts before I proceed on my annual leave. Every year, usually I schedule a few posts for my readers and go. I have never left the blog empty in my absence. I have been mentioning from the beginning of the year that I am facing a lag in my blogging mood. Alhamdulillah, I have a lot of drafts and some intermittent cooking that has filled my blog and hasn’t shown up as yet. But you may have noticed that from having posts every day barring the weekends, the frequency has now gone down to three posts a week. It was my way of slowing down, breathing in and breathing out…
Of course, the blog did cause me to burnout. I am putting in a lot of efforts in trying out new recipes, clicking and saving them up. Unfortunately, it never showed up in my numbers at all. Maybe my efforts aren’t enough. It was causing me to think whether it was worth blogging. But there are other peripherals to it – beautiful friendships, lovely readers, and a good support during my low times. So I am determined to keep it going as much as I can, without letting my interest fade. That’s why this year, I kept my challenge participation low, posted whenever I felt like, and now giving myself a break from the blog as I go home to have my well-needed break. I don’t know if you all would keep coming and checking recipes here, but I have told myself I am not going to think about the numbers this month. 🙂 I have three more posts for the Blogging Marathon to go, and then it’s a one month break from the blog. I may begin blogging as soon as I come back or maybe take a longer hiatus, depends solely on my mood…
Coming to today’s recipe… I am not a Nutella fan as such but love making dessert with it. It is so rich in itself that you don’t need any additional sugar to be added – whether it’s these mini bundt cakes, or this no-bake cheesecake, or this 3-ingredient mousse – just the few of many Nutella recipes on the blog. These brownies which has just three ingredients were a craze sometime ago. I had bookmarked it wanting to try but it just kept delayed till I was going to visit a friend. I baked the Biscoff blondies for her and these brownies for her kids, clicked it then and later made it a couple of times for the girls since they love it a lot. It is so easy to make, doesn’t take much time and gets your brownie cravings sorted in very little time! After all, who doesn’t have a bottle of Nutella in their home, at any given point of time? 🙂 Off to the recipe…
- ½ cup Nutella
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup all purpose flour
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a 4 inch brownie pan and grease.
- Beat the Nutella till smooth. Add in the egg and beat till combined. Add the flour and beat till all blend in
- Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
- Cool completely before slicing.
Pin for later!
