After joining the Muslima Blogger Network, I have been reading a lot of inspirational articles. It is so good to read from a lot of lovely bloggers across the blog about their struggle with their nafs and trying to please the Almighty, Allah. This was one of the most beautiful articles I have read in the recent past… How beautiful to equate life to a rose bud! As soon as I finished reading the beautiful poem, I was wondering to myself – yes, isn’t life like a rose bud? If we force ourselves to pull it apart, it becomes a mess, while if we keep our patience and wait for it to bloom, it turns out to be much beautiful that we can ever imagine. SubhanAllah… The Quran has said in various places to rely upon Allah…
“And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah . Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].” (Surah Aal-Imraan: Part of verse 159)
“And put your trust in Allah. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of Affairs.” (Surah Al-Ahzab:3)
These are just two of them. The time we learn to leave our affairs in His Hands and do what we can do, a lot of things will fall in place, so much so that He even asks us not to worry about our earnings! May Allah give us the patience to trust in His Will and make us work towards a life that He will pleased with… Aameen…
Coming to today’s recipe, since blueberries are in season, I thought of sharing this super easy smoothie. Yes, smoothies are my weakness, you would already be knowing. When I buy a fruit, a part of it would be eaten and the rest would be blitzed. 🙂 I bought blueberries for the first time recently. It is not that cheap, but you can’t eat them so much like you eat strawberries, I feel and another thing I found was how well it kept for days without getting spoiled. These fruits have a nice balance between sweet and tart, so whenever I find them on a good enough deal, I make sure I pick up a box and relish them. Off to the recipe…
Neat photography. I know your affair with smoothies! 😛 Rolled oats in smoothies is new to me.. does its absence make any difference?
The oats would just make the smoothie thicker, that’s all… 🙂 Thanks a lot Famidha…

hey raf my little one love smoothies..You always add flax seed to your smoothies. With that inspiration i am finding some flax seed here..
I am not sure how good flax is for kids… When I make for myself, I add flax all the time… the kids prefer eating their fruits as is, so I don’t juice for them… I use a brand called Hodgson, which is made in USA. Thanks a lot Sathya…
