I guess I just don’t need to mention about how things are now. After the kids, parents and my sister leaving, the house has been pretty lonely. My day is occupied with work, then the gym and the little time I spend at home is mostly for prepping up my meals for the next day. Since I will be travelling home end of the month, I have so much to get done before I can pack and leave. Thinking of my pending list gives me jitters, but I am just trying to breathe and be calm. Hopefully, I will be able to manage to get everything done before going…

The climate is getting hotter and very uncomfortable by the day. We had a session of heavy sandstorm following by lashing rains in a small segment of the Dubai-Sharjah border area, which lasted for 15 minutes. It was actually a very surprising phenomena. We rarely see such heavy rains during summers and there was not even anything mentioned in the forecast. It was a total experience in itself. But what followed it are very hot and humid days. A little time out in the afternoon would literally drain you of energy. I have a super hot kitchen and standing in there is a nightmare now, so I am in and out as soon as I can!

Since it is hot, all you feel like having is something cold all the time. Stone fruits are also a lot in season, so sharing with you this delicious and filling Banana Nectarine Smoothie, that can easily become a meal! I wouldn’t have thought of combining these two fruits if not the idea on the back of a pack of wheatgerm. And what a delicious smoothie it was! Cold, interesting flavors and so thick that it fills your tummy, and keeps it happy! You can replace the nectarine with any stone fruit of your choice. Off to the recipe…
