Papaya Lassi

Today, we are on day #20 of Ramadan. Tonight we enter into the last ten days of Ramadan, in which “the night better than 1000 nights” will be awaited during the odd nights. I have already mentioned about the importance of this night exactly two Ramadans ago in this post, so won’t be repeating it. This is the time when the mosques will be thronged by thousands of worshipers, who gather to offer prayers starting after midnight, at around 1:30 am and ending close to Fajr prayers, between 3 and 3:30 am, seeking His Mercy and Forgiveness for the ultimate success in this life and the hereafter. When my parents used to be around, they would attend though I wouldn’t as the kids were small. My situation is no different this time as well and it pains me that I am unable to attend the special prayers though InShaAllah, if the opportunity does arise, I am really looking forward to attending the prayers at least one time this Ramadan…  By the way, my parents joined us yesterday and will be around for a month! I am really excited! 🙂

Following up from the Cantaloupe Lassi and the Pomegranate Watermelon Lassi, here is the third one today, and probably the best one that I love, second to the Mango Lassi… This was amazingly thick and delicious to the core. I had this as breakfast when I had a big slice of papaya, which I would have otherwise preferred to eat as it is, but at times, the blogger instinct takes over and I converted into this lassi. Since the whole house was sleeping and I was all alone in the hall, I quickly clicked the pictures and slowly enjoyed the lassi. If you are able to get your hands on some really ripe papayas, which is available, do try this and definitely you will not regret!
