Beetroot Apple Juice

Trying to eat healthy has to come from within. We have to fine tune ourselves to accept that good food is what nourishes the body and the soul alike. It is human tendency to go towards a bit of junk or treat themselves, but as far as we are able to limit the treats that we give ourselves, it may not cause much harm. I am not a health person, to say the least. I weigh more than what I should be and definitely it is causing me a lot of health issues. I like to blame it on my packed schedule of not being able to do anything to fit a few minutes of activity, but somehow I feel it is a lack of time management on my part. True that working and home making together is a deadly combination that can drain you at the end of the day, and your weekend is also not spared in that account, but I guess where there is a will, it is not difficult to incorporate in something before retiring to bed. Despite being on a vegan diet for almost a month now and off my sweet treats as well, my weight hasn’t budged and that shows the importance of having a little movement in a day.

Today I am sharing a really healthy, cleansing smoothie with zero sugar or diary. Beetroot and apple gives it a very lovely sweetness and the celery gives the smoothie a different taste. It is actually a good way to get in the vegetable without having to struggle too much! I love this combination for the morning or for an evening drink, as now I am off tea for the time being and smoothies such as these are taking it’s place. 🙂

  2. I was reading this while sipping beetroot avocado smoothie! 😛 Beet and apple with celery seems interesting though I hardly pick celery. the last time I picked for some indo-chinese dish, I had to literally add them in all possible cooking to use them up! 😀 Lovely color and neat photography!
