Is “drained” a word? I don’t know how I am really feeling… For the past couple of weeks, I had some awful knee pains which I kept ignoring till it reached a stage that I couldn’t pray properly. My stock of Deep Heat did nothing to ease my pain. So finally I decided to see a doctor. Finally after an X-ray and a blood test, he told me a big name of my condition – happens with docs, right? – and gave me some mild medications, supplements for my alarmingly low Vitamin D and a simple exercise for my legs to be done a couple of times a day. I am feeling much better now Alhamdulillah… my problem is that I am bad at keeping a track of myself with tablets for longer than a week, so I have to somehow stick to having them without any breaks in between to make sure that my issues come under control, InShaAllah…
Meanwhile, if you thought you couldn’t make a lassi with avocado, then think again! Who says you can’t? The creaminess of the avocado actually makes a lassi more like a pudding than a drink! Hehe… I was mighty pleased with this trial and preferred it more than the milkshake that I usually make. It was an absolutely creamy and filling lassi that became a part of my dinner. Since I used one whole avocado, and it was too thick to be had only by me, I ended up making for me and HD and I had to share my lassi – I have never done it before except in the case of the Kesar Badam Lassi... Hmm… and yes, the Spiced Banana Lassi too… 😀 Off to the recipe…

Notes
I am just the opposite of you when it comes to health. Super paranoid. After losing my father to Cancer, I have suffered from Cancer Phobia for years. Thankfully my very supportive family and their love prevented me from landing up with a psychiatrist. But what they couldn’t stop was my visit to the doctor at the drop of a hat. However over the years this too has diminished. Having said that, please always give your health a priority. Don’t wait till it becomes unbearable to see your doctor. Please complete your medication and have a follow up visit.
Coming to the lassi, I am surely going to try this. As you rightly said, the creaminess from the avocado will do this drink wonders. I love the beautiful colour. It is filled with goodness Also. So I am saving this drink right now.
I take your advise, Piyali… thank you so much for your concern… I simply hate going to doctors and the waiting time, but when it is unbearable, we have no other option, right? 🙂 Thank you so much dear…
