I was just thinking to myself how long it has been since I have shared some motivational quotes or even thoughts on the blog. Sometimes the head doesn’t work, as simple as that. Especially when things are going smoothly, Alhamdulillah. At times, we feel routine is boring. We wish something extraordinary would happen. Good surprises add joy to the otherwise mundane life, but what if the surprise decides to take an ugly turn? Nobody would like it. Nobody would be able to accept it as soon as it happens. Once it slowly settles down, then you start absorbing it and accepting it, believing that things will turn better. So till I don’t have any surprises, good or bad, I am Alhamdulillah happy with my life. Frustrations are there – very human like – but I try for it not to interfere into my current thought process. 🙂

My love for shrikand and lassis are very much etched on the blog. I love anything sweet that includes yogurt in it. When the Nutella shrikand post had gone live, it attracted a lot of positive reviews. So when I had done a can of Dulche De Leche (DDL to make our life easy! 😉 ) and had some leftover in my fridge, I thought, why not try it with shrikand? And here it is… The caramel flavor beautifully meddled with the cardamom. I couldn’t ask for more. 😉 You don’t need any added sugar since DDL is sweet in itself. If you love caramel flavors, then do try out this shrikand as a lazy dessert. 🙂 Off to the recipe…
- 500 ml yogurt
- ¼ cup Dulche De Leche
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- Drain the yogurt in a muslin cloth for four hours or overnight, till the whey is all gone.
- Transfer yogurt into a bowl. Add the DDL and cardamom and whisk well.
- Serve immediately or after cooling for sometime.
