Apricot Smoothie

I came across this dua’a (prayer) when I was browsing through my FB feed. I read through it again and again… I feel that all of us havePin to constantly keep asking for it. Just reading through it and understanding its meaning will make you realize why I said that statement.

There are two sides of all of us, myself included – one that is known to others, what we like to call ourselves as image and the other one which is totally hidden from others. We always like our image in front of others to be spotless, irrespective of how our personal life may be. When people talk and feel good about you, it is actually a check on your intentions (niyyaath) – are you constantly upgrading yourself to be “that” good person in your private life? We are human beings who will err how much ever be careful about our doings, but we always need to constantly update our thoughts and pray to Him to keep our out and in as neat as possible without any negativity. I have learned that only Allah can help you to keep you protected from filthy and unwanted thoughts and from what others can say – whether truth or not.

Of late, I have been having a lot of fluids… One problem with juicing fruits is the additives that go into it but I am trying my maximum to keep it minimal and depend on the fruit sweetness to do the trick. InShaAllah, as we go by, you will see quite a bit of them coming up! For the current bunch, you can check out here. Apricot is something I buy when I see them on offer, but the problem is that they tend to ripen so fast and become a mess. That’s when blitzing them happens and therefore saves them from not getting eaten – I like my apricots nice and hard! Another one for those lazy mornings… 🙂
