I happened to come by this statement sometime back. And it got me thinking… do we all stay in each other’s life forever? People whom I knew in school or college are no longer in touch with me. Some people, who I thought were lost, have come back to me. Some people, who I thought were mine, have been lost. We always live in the thought of losing some or the other relationship. This world is such that nothing is stable. When the Quran tells you that even your spouse and children are our enemies (refer Surah At-Taghabun: 15 and Al Kahf: 46), I like to believe that nobody in this world is ours to say. As much as you need to love and respect all your relations, within home and outside, we have to always know at the back of our mind that anything can happen to take us apart – from misunderstandings, to not being able to keep the relationship for many reasons to non-reversible death. I firmly believe that everybody who comes to our life, teaches us something or the other and we have to be grateful for those lessons, that help us set our life ahead. May Allah make it easy for us with regarding to our relationships… Aameen…
With the climate getting hotter everyday, what better time than now to have ice cream! It is just May and we already see temperatures going over 40 degrees easily during the afternoons. 🙁 This delicious ice cream with intermittent bites of strawberries and store bought pound cake is adapted from a video I saw on Tasty. I had this cake looking at me sorrily to be finished, when this video magically appeared in front of me and I had to make it. Nonetheless to say, the ice cream did not take to finish off, as much as time it took to settle down! Hehe… I wanted Rasha to hold the bowl for me while clicking and she was so fidgety, constantly telling, “Ummi fast, fast… I want to eat!” Always the case with ice creams, right? 😀 Off to this simply good stuff…

omg! this is an amazing idea. While pound cakes or any cakes don’t stay for too long… but I would love to try this with blackberries. So true, it is so hot but I still refraining from making desserts as it ends up putting back all the grams of weight I lost. lol.
Weight is the only reason why desserts are being kept on bay, really… buhuhu… Do try it if you get a little in your hand… Thanks a lot Fami…
