Finally the little event that was on my blog has come to an end. It has been an utmost pleasure hosting the Version 92 of “My Legume Love Affair”, conceptualized by Susan and hosted by Lisa. Even though the number of entries were limited, what was found was some wholesome use of the loved lentils. Off to each post one by one:
Rustic White Bean Cabbage Soup by “The Taste Space”
With cabbage taking on the mantle of the best vegetable for weight loss, this is such a good way of clubbing up this boring vegetable with some white bean, making it filling and protein laden.
French Lentil soup with Mushrooms, Kale and Sundried Tomatoes by “Lisa’s Kitchen” – our host!
Another soup overloaded with lots of flavors, especially that of coconut milk! I must admit that it is the coconut milk that had me weak on my knees.
Khari Mash Ki Daal (Whole White Lentils) by “Cook, Bake and Enjoy”
Urad Daal is not something that I have cooked with, except grinding it for dosa and idli batter, just like a lot of South Indians. This curry makes me think otherwise, looks like a delicious option!
Daal Coconut Milk Curry by the host herself! 🙂
Nothing satisfies me as much a good daal curry and that too with a nice splash of coconut milk!
Dill Leaves Lentil Fritters by “Life in Yanbu”
Dill leaves is an unexplored territory and they being in lentil fritters – sounds just so delicious for a cup of hot tea!
Dried Black Chickpeas by “Herbs, Spices and Traditions”
Loaded with garam masala, looks like this dish does not even need rotis or rice to go with it. I could well dig into it on spoonfuls…
Our Daily Dal by “Keep Calm & Curry On”
Some homes have daal or lentils daily, and this is Bibi’s delicious yet simple way of making it!
Pesarattu by “Tuma’s Tongue Treat”
This is a delicious savory crepe primarily made by ground green gram batter. Sounds interesting? Then do check out Sowmya’s post…
Sabut Urad Dal Gravy by “Sizzling Tastebuds”
Curries made with whole lentils have a charm of itself. Do check out this curry for wholesome nutrition!
Chickpea Potato Burger by “Salt to Taste”
A total meal in itself, wrapped in a bun and devoured with some salad. Looks delicious!
I am really thankful to the beautiful bloggers who have linked in their entries to this event. I sincerely hope all of you enjoyed the round-up. Have a great weekend ahead… 🙂
