Wholewheat Butter Milk Waffles

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 30 gm butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat waffle maker. Whisk together the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Whisk the wet ingredients in another bowl and pour over the dry ingredients.
  • Fold in till well combined.
  • Grease the waffle maker if necessary and pour a ladle of batter into each section. Cook till done. Makes 8 waffles.

Notes

I added 1 tsp vinegar to 1 cup of milk, and let it stand for 10 minutes to make my buttermilk.
