Sausage Mac n Cheese

Ingredients

  • 300 gm macaroni cooked el dente
  • 25 gm butter
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 clove garlic minced
  • 1 onion minced
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 heaped tbsp cream cheese
  • 10 sausages boiled and diced

Instructions

  • Heat butter in a saucepan. Melt the butter.
  • Add the bayleaf and garlic and saute briefly.
  • Add the onion and saute till wilted.
  • Add the flour and fry briefly.
  • Slowly add the milk and whisk till the mixture leaves its lumps and cook till thickens.
  • Discard the bay leaf. Add in the oregano, parsley, salt and pepper.
  • Add the boiled macaroni and sausage and toss well to combine. Cook on low flame for five minutes.
  • Add the cheese and give a good toss.
  • Switch off and serve hot.
