Eggless Wholewheat Rose Cake

  • 1/2 cup 113 gm butter, melted
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cup wholewheat flour aatta
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp rose essence


  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease and flour a small loaf pan and set aside.
  • Seive the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk the condensed milk and melted butter till well combined.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients into it.
  • Then add the milk slowly to make the batter really thick. Do not overmix!
  • Finally add the rose essence and combine. Transfer to the loaf pan and flatten using a spatula.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or till skewer comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 15 minutes and then tip onto a cooling rack. Cool completely before slicing.
