Pressure Cooker Chicken Curry | Easy Chicken Curry

Ingredients

  • 500 gm chicken pieces cleaned and drained
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 1 to mato minced
  • 1 green chilli minced
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 heaped tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp fennel powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  • Curry leaves or coriander leaves for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Add the ingredients from onion to salt in the pressure cooker. Rub the mixture well by hand, crushing the onion and tomato well.
  • Add the chicken and rub in the mixture well. Add 1/4 cup of water.
  • Pressure cook for one whistle on high and then on simmer for five minutes. Switch off and allow the pressure to go by itself.
  • Open the lid, sprinkle in the garam masala and add the leaves if using for garnish. Serve hot with chapathi or rice.
