Wash all the dals and soak in water for an hour. Drain and set aside.
In a pressure cooker, allow to dry and toast the cumin. Add the onion, put a little salt and continously saute till wilted.
Add the drained lentils and mix well for a few minutes.
Add a cup of water along with the turmeric, red chilli powder, tomato and salt and cook for three whistles on high. Switch off and allow the pressure to go by itself.
Open the lid, add the yogurt and the garam masala and cook on simmer for a couple of minutes. Garnish with coriander and serve.
