Kolkata Egg Roll | Cheat Version

Kolkatta style street food, made in a cheat way!

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen paratha
  • 1 egg beaten with salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp sliced cabbage
  • 2 tbsp sliced cucumber
  • 2 tbsp sliced carrot
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
  • Ketchup or chilli sauce as required optional

Instructions

  • Mix the cabbage, cucumber and carrot in a bowl. Combine the vinegar, salt and pepper to taste and toss it up well. Set aside.
  • Heat the tawa. Put one side of the paratha down and cook till it is half done. You may flip to check once, but make sure to flip it back.
  • Pour the beaten egg over the half cooked paratha and cook on low flame till the egg looks done.
  • Flip and cook for a couple of minutes and switch off.
  • Take onto the serving plate, sprinkle in the prepared salad. Drizzle ketchup or chilli sauce if using and roll. Serve immediately.
