Kolkata Egg Roll | Cheat Version
Kolkatta style street food, made in a cheat way!
Prep Time 5 minutes minutes Cook Time 2 minutes minutes Total Time 7 minutes minutes
- 1 frozen paratha
- 1 egg beaten with salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp sliced cabbage
- 2 tbsp sliced cucumber
- 2 tbsp sliced carrot
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
- Ketchup or chilli sauce as required optional
Mix the cabbage, cucumber and carrot in a bowl. Combine the vinegar, salt and pepper to taste and toss it up well. Set aside.
Heat the tawa. Put one side of the paratha down and cook till it is half done. You may flip to check once, but make sure to flip it back.
Pour the beaten egg over the half cooked paratha and cook on low flame till the egg looks done.
Flip and cook for a couple of minutes and switch off.
Take onto the serving plate, sprinkle in the prepared salad. Drizzle ketchup or chilli sauce if using and roll. Serve immediately.
