Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 inch pan and set aside.
Whisk the dry ingredients in a bowl.
In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar till fluffy. Add the egg and beat. Add the milk and vanilla and beat to combine.
Slowly add the dry ingedients in batches and fold in till moist.
Fold in the strawberries.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for around 45 minutes till the skewer comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then carefully flip to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Meanwhile, for the ganache, warm the cream in a microwave for 45 seconds. Add the chocolate chips and stir till smooth.
Spread the ganache over the cooled cake and allow it to settle. Slice and serve!
