Cabbage Capsicum Masala

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 inch pc ginger pounded
  • 6 cloves garlic pounded
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 2 medium onions sliced
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  • 3 cups grated cabbage
  • 1 small capsicum cubed
  • 1 large tomato cubed
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a saucepan. Add the ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute till the raw smell is gone.
  • Add the onions with some salt and saute till soft.
  • Add in the masala powders and cook briefly.
  • Now add the cabbage and stir to mix well. Cook till the cabbage starts to wilt.
  • Add in the capsicum and cook now with a closed lid till capsicum gets soft.
  • Add in the tomato and cook again with closed lid till the tomatoes become soft. Ensure to keep stirring occasionally. Adjust salt and add in the coriander leaves. Switch off.
  • Serve warm with rotis or rice.
