Turmeric Milk/ Haldi Doodh ~ Masala Paal

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup full fat milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 2 cloves crushed
  • 3 tbsp honey as per sweetness

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except honey into a saucepan.
  • Keep on simmer till it boils. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking to the pan.
  • In a bowl, add the honey. Strain the slightly cooled milk over the honey and whisk till well combined.
  • Serve into cups and devour immediately!

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute milk with coconut milk or almond milk.
