Vegan Banana Almond Smoothie

I discovered a page called “Raz’s Page” on FB last week. I would love you to go through and read some of his posts about his children, and they are hilarious, yet really cute. In between all those light notes, I found this one which was really profound and awoke a lot of thoughts in me. Once you face a tough situation, you will feel vulnerable all the time. But that tough situation also gives you the strength to face that vulnerability, Alhamdulillah. Each word in that post echoed so much with me, and I knew it was all true. There is a great mental satisfaction that comes with placing your problems and sorrows to Allah, and that can’t be replaced by any feeling in this world. The only matter is as human beings we have to be patient enough to get through our tough times, and InShaAllah, good times will always come…

Banana is easily my favorite fruit. Recently, a dietitian told me to have banana once in a week and for saying that, I can’t stand her! 😀 I eat a banana almost every day, mostly as my after-lunch dessert or as my pre-work out meal. It gives me a lot of satisfaction. That explains why there are a lot of banana bakes and banana smoothies on the blog. 😉 Give me a chance and I normally make the complete breakfast smoothie, but this smoothie was one that I got hooked on during my vegan days and can’t get rid of it. With double goodness of almonds in the nut form and milk form, this drink will keep you all charged up for a long time. I normally soak up almonds, keep a few aside for the smoothie and blitz the rest to make fresh almond milk to use them up in this smoothie. You can definitely use store bought milk, but freshly made ones always add an extra zing to the flavors! Off to the recipe…

I have a smoothie with laban most of the days so this vegan once should be filling for a breakie…
