Vegan Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips and Walnuts

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup wholewheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 ripe bananas (approxmiately 500 gm)
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup mini vegan chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk the dry ingredients from flours to sugar till well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mash the bananas well. Add the milk, oil and vanilla and whisk well.
  4. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold in till well combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Add a tbsp of flour into the chips and walnuts and mix well. Fold into the mixture.
  6. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for around 40 minutes till skewer comes out clean.
  7. Flip onto a cooling rack and cool completely before slicing and serving.
