Chicken Madras

Ingredients
  • 1 kg chicken, cut into small pcs
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1½ tbsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • ½ cup water*
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 2 chopped green chillies
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a saucepan. Saute the onions and curry leaves till soft.
  2. Add the chicken and mix well.
  3. Add all the ingredients from tomatoes (*no water for dry curry) to salt and mix well.
  4. Cook on medium-low flame on closed lid till the chicken is done.
  5. Finally add the pepper and green chillies. Switch off and serve warm.
