Serves: 4
  • 50 gm butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  1. Beat the softened butter and brown sugar till creamy.
  2. Add the milk and baking powder and beat for a minute.
  3. Add the flour and mix well. The batter will not be thick.
  4. Carefully shape as a log and wrap in a wax paper. Chill for at least 2 hours. I kept it in the fridge overnight.
  5. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  6. Take out the roll from the paper and cut into ¼ inch thick pieces. Makes around 16.
  7. Line on a baking sheet. Ensure to keep sufficient space as these cookies spread out.
  8. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes till golden. Allow to cool. As they sit, they harden.
  9. Just take a couple of them and dip it into cold milk - pure bliss! :)
