  • 500 gm chicken pieces, cleaned and drained
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1 tomato, minced
  • 1 green chilli, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 heaped tsp coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp fennel powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp garam masala powder
  • Curry leaves or coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
  1. Add the ingredients from onion to salt in the pressure cooker. Rub the mixture well by hand, crushing the onion and tomato well.
  2. Add the chicken and rub in the mixture well. Add ¼ cup of water.
  3. Pressure cook for one whistle on high and then on simmer for five minutes. Switch off and allow the pressure to go by itself.
  4. Open the lid, sprinkle in the garam masala and add the leaves if using for garnish. Serve hot with chapathi or rice.
