Wholemeal Pancakes

  • 2 cups wholemeal flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 50 gm butter, melted
  • 1 large egg, whisked
  • 1 cup milk
  • Butter for frying
  1. Whisk the dry ingredients, from flour to salt and set aside.
  2. Whisk together the wet ingredients till well combined. Pour into the dry ingredients and fold in till all moist. If the batter is too thick, you can add some more water or milk to make it thick pancake consistency.
  3. Heat a fry pan and brush some butter. Pour ¼ cup of the batter and flatten slightly. Cook both sides till puffed up and golden brown.
  4. Serve warm with maple syrup, honey or as is!
