Wholewheat Butter Milk Waffles

  • ¾ cup plus 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 30 gm butter, melted
  1. Preheat waffle maker. Whisk together the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Whisk the wet ingredients in another bowl and pour over the dry ingredients.
  3. Fold in till well combined.
  4. Grease the waffle maker if necessary and pour a ladle of batter into each section. Cook till done. Makes 8 waffles.
I added 1 tsp vinegar to 1 cup of milk, and let it stand for 10 minutes to make my buttermilk.
