I guess I mentioned it last month, but mentioning it again today… InShaAllah, in 2017 the 3 back-to-back will be done every second month than every month, so that it will make it easy for me to work around a theme and follow it too. Till now I was able to do it without much hassle, but since I don’t want to put a lot of pressure on myself, I am letting it go a bit loose. 😀 But don’t worry, we are at the end of this year and I do have a 3B2B this time, which is going to amaze you… Ready? OK, then, read on…
I guess looking at the picture and the title of today’s post, you maybe thinking that I am featuring warm drinks. Yes, it is winters, there are some cold winds, all you need is some blanket all over you and you could sleep hours and hours at a stretch – read, if there was no work to go to or the kids weren’t going to school! 😉 But no, that’s not the case – Alhamdulillah! – so we need something to warm ourselves up. I was initially thinking of featuring soups but then I changed my mind and diverted to hot drinks. And not any hot drink – it’s going to be three back-to-back hot chocolate drinks for my readers! I totally love hot chocolate and love experimenting with different flavors. I have also mentioned that I prefer actual chocolate in my drink more than cocoa powder, so you will always find me melting some chocolate into it. Nothing peps me up more than a cup of hot chocolate on a cold evening, and I can see Rasha is following suit! Whenever I order a cappuccino from a cafe, she wants a hot chocolate. She still cant handle too much of heat in a drink but wait for it patiently to cool down slightly and then she enjoys her. I have company for my days to come… 🙂
So the first one in line for today has two goodness – the goodness of dark chocolate and the delicious flavor of mint! Dark chocolate and mint are a delicious match – considering how much I love my After Eights and Lindt Dark Mint! 😀 So this one also is a favorite when I need some extra amount of coziness. Always use dark chocolate for this one, because milk chocolate makes the mint taste so eww. Dark chocolate gives it a lovely punch and the drink encompasses you into a lovely homey feel. Use the freshest mint leaves as possible and if you are lucky to have some peppermint extract, put in a couple of drops for an extra minty punch! Off to the recipe…
