A couple of days35b4b49f00931a92bdd51a6e564289a9Pin ago, I chanced upon this verse. As soon as I read it, I felt that it is a prayer that we all have in our heart all the time. Wanting to understand what was the circumstances of this verse, I went through the holy book to realise that it was the prayer of Prophet Musa (AS), when he ran away from his own people to protect himself. As soon as this prayer is uttered, we can clearly see how his life changes for good, SubhanAllah… What hit me as soon as I read the verse is how powerless we are in our affairs. A great prophet like Musa (AS) was worried about his future, but all he did was to leave it the Almighty and ask Him for all the good He is going to provide. Of late, I have been occupied with a lot of thoughts, that I am not able to take a decision on. I do feel at times that life has come to a standstill as far as many areas are concerned, but I need to start taking a step and hope that He will guide me through it for the better. This prayer couldn’t have into my sight at a better time, Alhamdulillah. I truly believe that whatever good happens, Alhamdulillah but whatever bad or disturbing happens, also happens to open up newer avenues of life where you may not even have thought about. Yes, the life in this world can be so strange but everything makes sense when the correct time comes, InShaAllah…

Coming to the recipe for the day, I have been trying to get a bit adventurous as far as cooking with fish is concerned. If you are keen to have a look at the other fish recipes on the blog, you can check out here. Once, while I was trying to cook up something interesting to go with our Jeera Pulao for a Saturday lunch, I chanced upon this easy-to-prepare fish recipe in the “Australian Weekly Indian Cooking Classes” book that I have. And just like I said, the curry was really easy and tasted amazing along with the pulao. From the name and the method of preparation, you may understand that this is basically a North Indian style curry, more bend towards the Punjabi style. Using ghee for the whole process just enhances the taste of the dish. Off to the recipe…
