Be My Guest – Lahm Ajeen

Coming back to this segment after four months… ๐Ÿ™‚ I am more relaxed now. There is no pressure on me to feature a blogger every month and ever since I have done this, I feel that it is the best thing I have done. It is not that there aren’t any bloggers who fall in my favorite category. There are many in fact, who I would like to come over and grace my space, but I thought I should give time for myself and have them around slowly, InShaAllah…   With Ramadan coming, I thought it is apt to feature a Muslimah blogger in this space. And all I could think of this time was Shanaz, who blogs at “Love to Cook“. I got hooked onto her blog quite recently, maybe a year or so. She has some amazing recipes, and is now more into making crisp videos that are…

Be My Guest – Easy Chocolate Cinnamon Pots

Just as I thought I was not going to have any guest posts for this month and had settled down into that thought, I got an email from Supriya. I had never heard about her blog before, so her email did pique my interest. That got me going to her interesting blog called “Quiche and Tell“. The name of the blog is in itself interesting! That reminds me that I have been wanting to make quiche for long. I have tried making them a couple of times but they have just failed me. Not they didn’t taste right, but definitely not blogworthy. ๐Ÿ˜€ OK, so coming back to Supriya’s blog, I kept browsing and totally loved the collection of recipes that she had on her blog. Her latest cheesecake post is definitely something to die for!   So we had a little chit chat over the mails up and down…

Be My Guest ~ Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls

Last month, I received a mail from Chindinma Zee, who blogs at Fruitful Kitchen, ย with an interest to publish a guest post on my blog. She has previously published a few guest posts, here and here. I loved how neat her work was and also what was on her blog. So I had no difficulty in deciding to have her over my little space.   If you notice, I hardly have any citrusy bakes on the blog apart from a couple of them involving oranges. Even though I love them, I don’t have a family that would eat them, so I try to stay away from making them. These lemon cheesecake crescent rolls that Chindinma brings by has everything in them – they are easy to make, they are lemony and they feel like you are having cheesecake! Without much ado, let’s go on and see what Chindinma brings in…

Be My Guest – Chicken Malai Kofta Curry

2016 has been a super-fast year, I feel, whether it is personally or from the blog perspective. This year, I have not concentrated much on the “Be My Guest” segment, yet ย I am glad that I have still had some amazing bloggers gracing this space. This happens to be the seventh guest post and the last one for 2016, and I couldn’t be happier. It has been an amazing journey and hopefully, I will have more bloggers joining in 2017, maybe at the similar pace as is now. I am enjoying it more since there is no pressure on me as such to go on posting every month, and I am taking it as and when I get a chance to go on with it.   I am glad that this month, to end the year, I have a new kid-on-the-block, so as to say. Food blogging is becoming a…

Be My Guest – Vegan Pumpkin Pie in Chocolate Crust

Last month, after a break, I kick-started the Be My Guest series with Famidha. But I have already mentioned that I may not go on every month doing a post. Alhamdulillah, I am glad this month I have a blogger too as my guest. A blogger, who is on my list of favorites in food blogging. I mean, go through her blog. The amount of recipes she posts, especially as a part of the Blogging Marathon, is amazing. Each post of her is a delight – whether it is the recipe or the shots. There is not even a post where her clicks are lacking – they are one better than the other or competing against each other. I really admire the way that she keeps up with the standard of her posts. Also, her blog is perfect fodder for a sweet tooth like me to keep looking at it…

Be My Guest – Moroccan Rghaif | Msemen and Meloui | Moroccan Pancakes

It feels like ages since I have done a guest post on the blog. And yes, it has been ages! The last one that appeared on the blog was during Eid in June. I have been going slow about it, not asking bloggers to contribute nor was wanting anybody to contribute! I am being very honest – I have loved the experience of hosting bloggers on this space, in fact I started it and I continued it till now, and would continue to definitely host more bloggers here in the future, InShaAllah… but sometimes the whole thing is so overwhelming, that it needs a breathing space. And that is exactly what I did after taking this break. But InShaAllah, I am all charged up to welcome in some more of my favorite bloggers and hopefully you will start seeing posts on a regular basis rather than with long breaks! Not…

Be My Guest – Bread Butter Pudding with Caramelized Nuts

Hasn’t there been times when you are so excited that you are unable to sit steady on your seat? I am in exactly that situation right now… ๐Ÿ˜€ I am not able to start up an introduction as I am so excited about the blogger who is on my space during this blessed month!   I came across her profile in Instagram in the beginning. Such mouthwatering pictures and that too mainly of desserts – so that’s definitely the space for me, right? ๐Ÿ™‚ Even I don’t make such sinful desserts since I am so worried about my ever increasing weight, plus the thought about the look of disapproval on the face of HD is a deterrent in itself. But that wouldn’t stop me from gawking at her pictures… I never knew she had a blog till I commented on one of her pictures and then man, the journey started…

Be My Guest – Thayir Vadai

You all would have noticed that I am slowing down on my guest series from the beginning of the year. Yes, it has been intentional, I have already made it clear. Somehow, this year, I have been concentrating on doing my own posts and also coordinating for guest posts was taking a toll on me, so I had to take a decision to go a bit slow, though I am not going to let this series die off as such… ๐Ÿ™‚   After two months of silence, today I have one of my favorite bloggers. I know I have introduced many of them this way, and this sweet lady’s blog has been one that I laid my eyes on more than four years ago, when I took genuine interest towards cooking. Why did I like her blog? I love good vegetarian food, and I simply suck at making them –…

Be My Guest – Mughlai Haraa Murgh (Green Chicken Curry)

I am sincerely happy that despite not taking much effort to do the guest posts every month, I am getting interested bloggers coming in to be a part of this little space of mine. It makes me humbled and I sincerely thank the Almighty for making all of you think my blog worthy of being in! ๐Ÿ™‚ Presenting to you the second guest post for the year after Ramya’s…   There is something with blogging – how it pulls other bloggers towards you, especially because of love for food! Today, I have a foodie whom I have never known before, but she popped up on my space thanks to Yummly. She left a comment on one of the posts and that was how we hit off. The very next day, she dropped in an email asking if she could be a guest on my blog, and my answer was definitely…

Be My Guest – Steamed Strawberry Cake

Actually speaking, I was not expecting myself to be hosting a guest on this space this month. Like I mentioned last month, I had decided to give the series a breaker and let it breathe by itself, and that is exactly what happened! I had received a few interested voices previously, but I had decided not to ย follow up as I want them to take their own time and come up with their posts. And this is always that happens. But the first time in my blogging life, have I got a mail where a blogger has unabashedly told me that she wants to be guest posting, and that too with the pictures and post and all! I was really taken aback, albiet in a very excited manner, since I was so happy to see somebody so confident that she would definitely be on my space!   And that’s the…

Be My Guest – Everyday Haleem

The final third Saturday of the year has come. I was just wondering how quick 2015 has moved by. I always have a ranting session at the end of the year, so I will leave it towards the last post for the year, InShaAllah. We started off this year with Sathya’s Carrot Rice and have had some lovely guests visiting my space this year.   “Be My Guest” has been a dear baby to me. From my favorite bloggers to those who gladly chipped in with their lovely recipes, it has been an exciting journey so far. Meena started it off and Alhamdulillah, I must say that I have enjoyed working on each and every of the 56 guest posts – this one is number 57 – that have appeared on my little space, right from the initial mails, to coordination till getting the whole thing in place. From…

Be My Guest – Methi Malai Paneer

Just like when every guest post is done, today also I am very excited. Why am I excited? Today, I have a blogger with me who is famous in her own way. First of all, she is record holder for posting a recipe a day for one year. Secondly, her blog was the “Best Food Blog 2014” awarded by BlogAdda. A peep into her achievements and you would be awed. However, the best part about her is that success has not reached her head. She is a humble person who has learned to take it in her stride and be the person that she is and has to be.   I guess I have given the hint to all on who is my guest for this month. Yes… none other than Priya, who blogs at Priya Kitchenette. Despite being a pure vegeterian, she always keeps hoping on to the blog…

Be My Guest – Wholewheat Carrot Cake

ย  So quickly the third Saturday of the month comes by! Before I finish coordinating over a guest post, drafting and scheduling it, and then breathing a sigh of relief that the one for the month is done, it is already time for the next guest post. The way time seems to be flying is quite scary… Looking at the date, we have hardly another two and a half months for 2015 to end! When did this year start anyway? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ As we enjoy a long weekend over here due to the Islamic New Year holiday getting clubbed along with the weekend – we are off since Thursday, I come to you with the guest of the month. Today, I have with me Hiba who blogs at Coconut Chutney. I love the name of the blog – gives a very south Indian touch to it! A casual chat with her…

Be My Guest – Carrot Halwa

After having done three guest posts last month, it is back to having one guest post from this month! Hehe…   We are in the month of Dhul-Hijja and InShaAllah, the day of Arafah is on Wednesday this year. Though this year’s Hajj is marred by a very sad crane accident at the Haram – may Allah grant Jannah to those who were martyred during the incident, Aameen… – I am sure with the feel that being at the Haram gives, all the people who have gathered there will be in full spirits to please the Lord. May Allah accept their Hajj and also give us the opportunity to fulfil this obligation soon… Aameen…   Today, I have with me a new blogger who is making waves in the blogging world within the short time that she has been around. I must admit that newer bloggers are more advanced in…

Be My Guest – Jamun Koftas

The third guest post for the month, before I come back to live posting soon… InShaAllah…   My interaction with Sowmya started all of a sudden. From comments on each other’s blog to being quite good chat mates… I have enjoyed each and every time we have chatted to each other. It was interesting to see how much we were able to help each other – especially when she had information of what I needed and I had what she needed! A casual comment on the “Be My Guest” post sometime ago was what started our coordination for a guest post. She had just been blessed with her little bundle of joy, V, and she was hands full as a new mother, yet she expressed her interest to be a part of my blog. And finally, she is here… We had been discussing about the content of the guest post…
