Tips

This segment will have some tips and tricks that I get to know and have used in my cooking. We all want our cooking to be fast yet perfect, so this section would definitely help! πŸ™‚
  • While sauteing onion in oil, add a pinch of salt for the onion to get cooked faster. The salt helps the onion release its fluids, thereby ensuring quick cooking.
  • While frying onions for biriyani or otherwise, sprinkle some salt on the onions. This will ensure that the fried onions stay crisp when taken out of the oil.
  • To keep coconut fresh for longer, store in an airtight container in the freezer. When the time to use comes, keep it out for sometime, break a portion off for use and return back to the freezer. It will stay for long time this way.
  • Is your curry watery? Add a tablespoon of maida or cornflour to three tablespoons of water to make a paste and boil your curry after adding the paste. The curry will start thickening, without any compromise on the taste.
